A "Super Latina" Returns

The Culture Edit, April 29th-May 12th

It’s been years since we first met Elena, the unforgettable protagonist of ¡Fuácata! A Latina's Guide to Surviving the Universe, a sleeper hit in 2017 that chronicled one very trying day in the life of this café-fueled “Super Latina”. Now she’s back, in Cuban Chicken Soup: When There’s No More Café, facing another crisis-filled day ten years later. Incredibly talented playwright, actress, and director Elena Maria Garcia brings over 20 characters to life in this one-woman season finale at Zoetic Stage.

Also this week, Michael Tilson Thomas leads the New World Symphony for his final performance of the season and ICA Miami celebrates the opening of two new exhibits with one of their fun, free “First Fridays” events.

Let's get planning...
